Collaboration leverages Deloitte’s significant reach and expertise in combination with Makersite’s cutting-edge solution

Makersite announces strategic partnership with Deloitte

STUTTGART, Germany, 24th September, 2024 — Makersite, an AI-enabled product lifecycle intelligence software renowned for its comprehensive approach to managing sustainability, cost and compliance, today announced a strategic partnership with auditing and consulting firm Deloitte. The collaboration leverages Deloitte’s significant reach and expertise in combination with Makersite’s cutting-edge solution, enabling customers to benefit from a significantly greater level of insight throughout their sustainability and supply chain journeys.

The partnership marks a significant step forward in the utilization of pioneering technology and deep professional services expertise to revolutionize approaches to environmental sustainability metrics assessment and tracking, decarbonization strategies, and the development and implementation of sustainability programs.

Makersite’s approach combines AI with data from more than 140 material, process, and supplier databases, to create highly accurate digital twins of products and their supply chains. This data foundation, coupled with Makersite’s native applications and API-first architecture, offers manufacturers clear insight into their products and supply chains. The result is a comprehensive understanding of regulatory compliance, environmental impact, supply risk, and production costs – all integrated seamlessly into existing IT infrastructures.

As the partnership progresses, Makersite and Deloitte intend to further integrate their combined supply chain offerings – including Deloitte’s world class implementation and advisory services – to help customers navigate their sustainability and supply chain challenges from beginning to end.

Customers will be able to leverage Deloitte’s suite of services across their sustainability and target setting strategies. This includes the implementation of Makersite’s tools, alongside assistance in building and executing transformation strategies across supply chain, procurement and ecodesign departments.

“Partnering with Deloitte in Germany is a true showcase of both Makersite’s ambition and the power of our solution,” said Neil D’Souza, CEO of Makersite. “However, more than that, the collaboration is also a clear indication of our desire to alleviate as many of the potential disruptions and obstacles that lie in the path of many sustainability journeys as possible. With Deloitte’s world-leading implementation and advisory services and Makersite’s groundbreaking technology, truly sustainable product design has never been easier to achieve.”

“At a time when sustainability plays more of a role in purchasing decisions and customer behaviour than ever before, and when increasing regulatory oversight means that adherence to sustainable design principles is more necessary than ever, partnering with Makersite helps us to provide clients with more detailed insights into their supply chains, putting firms on the right path towards continued growth and success”, says Jürgen Sandau, partner at Deloitte, who is leading the firm’s supply chain offering in Germany.
